Ferrying a 182 from Idaho to DC via EL-Paso Texas!

Good share. I'm still looking forward to flying across the country, slowly, sometime.

It's one of the things i miss most about GA... I crossed 6-7 times doing ferry flights like this... and took a different route each time.

Awesome trip!

The nasal cannulas. . .what altitude were you? Was the 02 the bottled version? I'm not all that familiar with the 182.

I see you're a "north up" type person. I never could stand seeing a GPS that way :) I like me to be flying towards the top of the GPS :)

Ben, was the Autopilot functional? That set up is almost identical to the one my flying club has. But our shop said that autopilot would not work with the Garmin. That was like 10 years ago, so maybe now they have a fix. (I'm hoping)

It worked like a charm and it was coupled to the GPS.

The oxygen was a portable bottled version and I we flew that day at 13,500.

I love NORTH UP. For some reason my brain has trouble with track up;)

I am with you (on a car gps, not a pilot) drives me insane when the "map" is upside down.

To each their own, thus the setting to switch it. ;-) But I'm the same, only opposite. My brain and north up don't work as well together. :insane:

Awesome trip and pics. Especially the one where you're parked next to the Gulfstream. I would love to fly across the country like what Swen said. But I have to start with the PPL.:laff:
