Fast forwarding to after landing at KIAD. I dropped off my student/ the owner of the plane. He left his car there so he picked up the car and I continued to KGAI with the plane.

An amazing trip for sure! To those wondering why I ended up in El-Paso if I started in Idaho... There was a huge area of cloud cover, precip and Icing Airmets that pretty much kept me from crossing the rockies liked I originally hoped. Unfortunately, by the time we woke up in Pheonix for the second day, that system moved south which made me puch my route as south as I could.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I have enjoyed sharing them with you!

What and adventure bud! great pictures and great memories it seems. Thats along ferry, what was the flight time on that trip?

Nice pics. That sounds like quite the adventure.

I too liked your "Ferry Pilot" shirt. Very cool! :)

Great pics!

This one looks like you're just past high key on a simulated flame-out approach!

Wow, so many replys to reply too!

Well lets see..

I went west to Pasco because Lewiston didnt have the charts that I needed to head south.

The plane is a 1979 C182 Q model.

I do hope to ferry often. I started to do ferry flying not too long ago but I am trying to get into it as full time as I can and I am very serious about it (hence the shirt, LOL). So far I have had three and a half ferry flights. (The half was a 30 minute flight, so I am not sure to count that or not)

Total flight time for the trip was 25.3 hours.

Anyways, I update my trips on my ferry pilot website: www.theferrypilot.com

If and when I have more trips, you can count on me posting them here!

Curious to know how you're getting these ferry gigs; how are you marketing yourself? Just the website? Or other avenues?

I have always been of the mindset that you have to spend money to make money. That and some persistant advertising helps

Where ever I land, I put up at least two flyers in different locations.

Nice!!

I wish I had the times to start doing that, here in South America there is a huge demand of cessnas and pipers to use for flight training and as small charters, the new market is out of range here and there is no used market for this kind of planes.
