Favorite Aviation Magazine

This is just for fun. If you had to choose one which magazine is your favorite. My favorite has got to be "Flying" magazine. Their articles are just top notch to me. Especially Les Abend, I love his "Jumpseat" articles.

IFR Magazine.

Just like Cook's Illustrated, short, sweet, and to the point. And without all the glossy advertisements.

Interesting note: according to the dude at the AOPA safety seminar I went to last week the two most read magazine articles are I Learned About Flying From That and Never Again. I do like those.

Business & Commercial Aviation for me. Lots of industry specific articles that enlighten us corporate hacks on the finer points of operating a flight department.

This is the one I look forward to.

Air & Space.

I dig AOPA Flying, but recently my dad satisfied his ebay addiction by buying me a stack of 'Flying' from the 50's. Right now, they are my favorite. They're awesome. Thanks pops.

Les Abend, I love his "Jumpseat" articles.
I admire him more for that stache he's rockin.

Come to think of it, I can't really think of an aviation magazine that I DON'T like flipping through. They're all a hell of a lot more entertaining that Home & Garden. ;)

2nd that....and Plane & Pilot (only piston mag)

AOPA is good when they aren't calling me every 45 min to remind me to renew in 3 years.

That is why this thread exists: http://forums.jetcareers.com/mind-n...ning-about-aopa-mail-phone-solicitations.html

We're talking about magazines in here :) AOPA Pilot and Flight Training are both pretty good. I enjoy reading Pilot the most, though. JordanD is right, they're all much better than reading about Southern Home Living or some cooking magazine...

Flying is great. Also since starting training for my CFI I have found a lot of great content in AOPA's Flight Training magazine

Flying is pretty good, especially the i learned about flying from that and the accident reports. Flight Training is a good one too. I might have to look into the IFR one.

Professionalpilot is also pretty good. It's mostly corporate stuff but has some interesting articles since corp flying is usually on the leading edge of new technologies. I just like to look at pictures of shinny corporate jets and the best part is that it's free. AOPA mag is good for ga pilots.

I really dig the cessna pilots association mag. tons of useful info. Also, the GA mag, if for nothing else than the random letters.
