Falcon Flight Center -- Daytona

Does anybody have any experience with this school in Daytona Beach? Or, another solid school to get your private at in the central Florida area -- preferably smaller FBOs that haven't been discussed on the boards much.

Peace . . .

Being from CF, I would look at KISM (Sunstate Avaition) if I were looking to do my training... *.02*

JJ -- thanks for the heads up on Sunstate. I checked out their website and they seem like a quality operation. Did you train there?

Do an extensive search on Philair in DAB. That should answer lots of questions. (Falcon used to be Philair)

Yep, Sunrise is still around. I don't know much about them because I don't know anyone who ever flew there.

I'm earning my private at Avion based out of SFB. It seems like a pretty good place. I don't know what the experience is like at other FBOs, but I like flying out of SFB because I've been able to experience dealing with ATC and several types of airspace from day one. I also get to experience wake turbulence avoidance landing behind 727's and 717's...not to mention the added coolness of landing behind a 727.

Ummm.... last time I checked they were never philair, philair is a different operation. They are not a bad operation, I have a friend that is a CFI there and he seems pretty happy. They have a good mix of older and newer aircraft, everything from old 152s to 172sps.

That's funny. Philair closed just about the same time Falcon opened and quite a few CFI's and students went from one place to the other.
