Word is that a lot of this has been changed. I haven't been able to find a source to read the text of the new bill. After is makes it through committee it should be able to read on the Library of Congress website as it will have a Bill # then.

H.R. 915

Introduced to the House of Reps. Very similar to H.R.2881 that was introduced in 2007 that passed in the House but stalled in the Senate. Looks like it's likely to pass this time based on the new administration. To be effective fiscal year 2009. Great news!

The first link shows the news piece and supporters (NATCA is one of them) the second link in the actual bill. Title VI - FAA Employees and Organization Section 601 discusses the ATC side of things.

heres some advice from an old fart thes been around a long long time. dont spend it till its in you pay check and stop worring about how it was because those day are long gone, your in the new FFA.

I doubt this will pass...I don't see the gov going back to the old pay scale.

You may be right but something has to happen. Regardless of controller issues the FAA needs a fundig bill...

It is possible. However that is the text of the bill. For it to pass we would need a government that is spending money like crazy........ Wonder where we can find one of those???

im not holding my breath. if the bill passes, which it wont, any language guaranteeing the old payscale will be struck from it beforehand.

It will be irrelevant what the pay scale is when inflation goes into hyperdrive and it costs $200 to fill your gas tank.
