FAA Medical 1 class

I was wondering since im about to enroll at a university and about to do a flying program could someone tell me, about the FAA medical Certification 1st class.....because the flight program requires I get one.

go online to www.faa.gov

there should be a tab for "certificates"
then a drop down box for "find an AME (aviation medical examiner)"

find a local one and set an appt.

if that's incorrect (im doing it by memory) there also should be a "quick links" drop down box with "find an AME"

The process is easy, fill out some paperwork, pee in a cup read an eye chart and you're good to go.

peeing in a cup is for blood and sugar for looking into potential disqualifying facotrs.

Your school probably wants you to get one so you don't get to the end of your program and find out you have a heart murmur or something that will disqualify you from using your education for employment.
