FAA Class 1 medical exam

How much does an FAA Class 1 medical exam cost?

I have to get one in order to start flight training and I have to pay for it out-of-pocket (I am using the Post 9/11 GI Bill).

Also, is there a published list of FAA medical examiners that I can go to?

In Phoenix they cost $95, the price may be more or less, depending on the part of the country you live in. Just one comment, if you cannot afford the cost of a medical, you cannot afford to fly. It is probably the least expensive part of the entire process.

In Mobile, AL, the price ranges from $80-150. That's if you're under 40 and don't need the EKG.
