FAA clarification on Dispatcher responsibility with ATC reroutes

By reading this, this sounds like this is aimed towards NAT reroutes, or oceanic reroutes more so, than normal run-of-the-mill ATC reroutes issued over the domestic US. With the implementation of CPDLC in oceanic aircraft, many operators have felt that the role of dispatchers has been neglected in favor of true technology: this ruling from the general counsel's office says otherwise.

HOWEVER, once you see a type of CPDLC for normal operations, or any reroutes for a center in the continental US, expect operators and the FAA to reference this ruling.

Yes, after rereading this is does seem significantly more narrow than I originally presumed. My point is obviously moot...

Well too bad, the first sentence says it all...I had hoped this was much further reaching, and could be a interesting subject about dispatch responsibility in a changing ATC landscape..
