Faa - Caa

Anyone Here know of the process of FAA - CAA conversion, or where I can find more info on this? Can it be done in the U.S?

When you say CAA do you mean JAA as in Europe, or are you talking about another part of the world?

The CAA in the UK comes under JAA as does the rest of Europe.
To convert from an FAA CPL/IR you need to sit all 14 JAA ATPL ground school exams, which will take 6 months if doing a full time course, and then you need to take the JAA Instrument Rating flight test followed finally by an MCC course if you are airline bound.

India

I am trying to refer to India. An American pilot who flew in India in the early 90's told me that India's aviation is under the DGCA - Director of General Cival Aviation I think. I am not sure if that is true today - I am trying to find out if India is under JAA or CAA (or are they more or less the same thing?)
