Saint Louis,Missouri,United States 6K8DP5 Boeing – Saint Louis is seeking an F-22 Pilot Subject Matter Expert / Operations Analyst / Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, test and implementation of modernization and sustainment upgrades to the F-22 Pilot Training Systems. This includes Mission Training Centers (MTC), Weapons & Tactics Trainers (WTT), the supporting simulation environment, and academic courseware. - Lead the creation and refinement of Pilot Training System designs, tests and courseware. - Support engineering processes & document development including requirements & design decisions. - Field and aid resolution of pilot and engineer inquiries and concerns regarding F-22 Pilot Training System performance, including organizing Pilot Training working group meetings to define user needs and develop a prioritized list of improvements. - Elaborate user needs and improvements into user stories, development & evaluation scenarios or other engineering data as needed. Collaborate with engineers, customers and test team to assess trainer performance and recommend corrections. - Instruct in all aspects of F-22 systems operation and employment including air-to-air, air-to-ground, electronic attack, and other missions by developing mission scenarios reflecting tactically relevant mission sets and incorporating the capabilities under development and test. - Participates in environment integration, upgrades and use the resulting data and instructor/SME expertise to develop assessments of the simulator to meet training objectives. - Provides academic instruction and courseware development for all modernization and sustainment upgrades to the F-22. - Regularly conduct operational representative multi-ship missions in order to fully exercise MTC capabilities. - Perform F-22 Avionics System modernization and sustainment tasks: Aid in requirements definition, design, development, testing, and performance analysis. Typical Education / Experience: Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Other Related Skills / Attributes: This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Clearance, for which the US Government requires a US Citizenship. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing, collaborative team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. This team will be modeling the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) approach to support all aspects of product development. A minimum of 5 years fighter experience. (Required) Previous Instructor experience and current within the last 3 years (Required) Preferred /Highly Desired: - 400+ hrs of F-22 flight time. - Fighter development, engineering, training or test experience – ideally F-22. - Mission Training Center (Simulator) Instructor experience. - USAF or USN Weapons School Graduate. Must be willing to meet work assignment/travel requirements: The F-22 Program is transitioning from Seattle, WA to St. Louis, MO. This position requires knowledge transfer with existing staff in Seattle to be accomplished through DTA, business travel and/or a mutual agreement between the Program and the employee.
