F-117A Nighthawk 84-0827 For Sale

Cue Mike's stories of flying this specific tail number, as well as detailed observations regarding its unique performance and handling characteristics :D

I kid, of course, his stories are epic.

This article isn't well written. It's only available for other government entities to purchase, not random people off the street. It'll probably end up in a museum or as a gate guard somewhere.

I actually have about 30 some hours in 827, as it was one of my squadron's birds. A production Lot #8 aircraft and the 43rd F-117 built. She flew for a little over 20 years, from April 1987 to October 2007 and was in the second group of F-117s to be retired. Was also one of the few -117s to have never been assigned a name. Sad to see its an empty, sandblasted, center-fuselage shell now. But, thats the road the remaining birds stored at TTR were headed, they weren't going to fly again. At least they went home to where they lived the beginning of their lives.

Somewhere there is a guy clearing out an area of his front yard so he can buy this thing and retrofit a couple Chevy small blocks to make it work.....

That looks a lot like a private pilot or CFI's logbook. 1.4, 1.6, 1.4 etc.

Most tactical jet sorties when not air refueling, with the exception of the A-10. While the sortie lengths are short, you can still go a long way with the speeds you're going if flying for some efficiency. If going out and doing low level tactics or air-air fighting, the total times will be very reduced. The -117 had some good range with 19,000 lbs fuel onboard, but cruising around on our missions from .95-.99M didnt do much for fuel savings. :)

Jerry said he and Mike (cousin's friend's brother's Mike, not our Mike) are buying it.
