ExpressJet charter?

Saw two ERJ's on the ramp today at MKC when I was down at my hangar. I thought that they stopped doing this months ago?

When I used to live in NASCAR country, express jet would come and pick up and drop some team every week.

They come in here every two weeks. Companies with their own firefighting teams (like chevron for their refinery facilities) charter them to fly the firefighters in for training here (we have a big fire training facility out in the desert).

Just from looking at flightaware, I can tell there are a few race teams that used MKC, a few at IXD, and a few a MCI.

haha. XJT has at pretty much all times at least 2 ERJs at JQF on any given day. Most days during the week there is a line of 5 or 6 on the ramp.

Most times they depart Friday mornings.

Yeah, for the MIS race. Everything that JXN can't handle or doesn't have room for usually heads towards YIP or TOL.

YIP usually gets a few XJT for race weekends and the Saab 2000's

The charters are well alive, I think they're based out of ONT, they have a big hanger and a ton of X-jet branded ERJs out there.
