Hey... I was at F14 taking a bird to Austin the night before and I saw 3 ExpressJet 145's at UAL gates - what's the deal? Anyone know how much UAX flying that you are picking up and the details around it?

3-4 months worth, not a whole lot of airplanes. Oh and FYI, while it's the same paint job as branded, those are charter aircraft doing the flying (technically).

So 'charter' crews as apposed to 'regular' crews as well?

Nope. I jumpseated on one today (didn't get to sit on the memory foam seats :( ) and it was a CLE crew.

Mesa and TSA maybe should be a little worried...the passengers were loving the service. I told them to let United know.

Thanks for the info... although I saw 4 of them again today - a couple of them flying routes that are usually serviced by 66 seaters. It's a wierd thing to get used to - especially today being sandwiched in by 2 145's.

Yes, they are regular EWR and CLE crews doing the Yo-Nited flying. Originally EWR was set to be one of the outstations however that changed about two weeks ago resulting in the EWR pairings starting and finishing with a deadhead.

I think it's about 10 cities hub and spoking to ORD and IAD.

Last year we did a much smaller stint with United over the summer, it was with fewer planes for a shorter period of time.

You are guys are doing quite a bit of flying for my company as well (charter crews only). I'd call it "our" flying except that your airplanes carry 6 times as many people as ours... so it's not something we could realistically do on our own... yet.
