This team is responsible for the functional test and evaluation of newly manufactured and/or modified commercial aircraft. </p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">The major day to day responsibilities of this role:</p><ul><li><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Plans and conducts production and acceptance test flights. </div></li><li><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Demonstrates or leads the production acceptance process.</div></li><li><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Identifies and documents flight deficiencies and coordinates resolution. </div></li><li><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Plans, coordinates and conducts delivery, ferry, support and functional test flights on production and non-production aircraft. </div></li><li><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Serves as Pilot-In-Command. </div></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">**This position is based out of Charleston, SC.&nbsp; Relocation/ assignment benefits to base location will be provided. You will also need effective communication skills,&nbsp;the ability to build positive working relationships and have a demonstrated ability to work in matrix organizations with people at all levels.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"><br /></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Required qualifications:</p><ul><li>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a &#8220;US Person&#8221; as defined by 22 C.F.R. &#167; 120.15 is required. &#8220;US Person&#8221; includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree<br /></li><li>Possess a current&nbsp;ATP commercial pilots certificate or equivalent military flight experience</li><li>Experience&nbsp;piloting turbine powered aircraft</li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Preferred qualifications:</p><ul><li>Test Pilot School (TPS) graduate</li></ul><p style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px"><br /></p><p style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px">Typical education and experience: Bachelor’s and 5 or more years’ experience, Master’s degree with 3 or more years’ experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
