Executive Airshare

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone is doing well! I've sent a couple PM's but I wanted to ask the general population (sounds like prison) to see what insight I could obtain on Executive Airshare, specifically in Dallas. Anyone have any solid info? Pay? Schedule? Overall moral? I'm an experienced corporate jet captain looking for a long-term position with some growth. Is EA a good option? ANY info and/or feedback is much appreciated!

Thank you!

JB

Pay is determined on how well they like you. Don't think there is a set pay schedule.

That works to my advantage. I can kiss ass like nobodies business.

I got a nice, detailed PM. Thank you!

Anyone else have anything they could share about Executive Airshare? My research has shown a very WIDE spectrum of feedback. Some great and some TERRIBLE. Anyone????

They used to have a set 7/7 schedule. The new Director decided that a 15 on (or close to that) worked better for his scheduling purposes. Morale on the schedule and treatment of crew is WAY down. Actually a quote is that it' "SUCKS!".

Thanks D!

What about jet captain pay? For the days "on" are you still home most nights or is it more likely to be gone gone?

Never known a company that was this hard-core about discussing pay. If you're caught discussing your pay and/or benefits with another employee, it's grounds for immediate dismissal.

This states it best:

Pay is determined on how well they like you. Don't think there is a set pay schedule.

Not sure who the Chief is now but last one (I think he moved up - real butt kisser, crappy pilot) would consistantly operate outside the limitations of the aircraft to "complete the mission". He didn't have the nuts to tell the customer "NO, but let me work this out for you". Reminded me of the Aaliyah crash.

Most likely you're on the road for your "on" time. Rarely home when you're on duty

I decided to not take a position there for a few reasons. One is you will be doing most of your flying out of ft. worth. So depending where you are in the dallas area you could have quite a drive. Second is the pay isn't all that great for the schedule(I'll get to that later). Phenom 100 pay is below the norm. They say anywhere between 50-60K depending on experience. Now onto the schedule which was the killer for me. It is 15/3. For a fractional operator this is down right horrible. For charter this isn't that unheard of, but they are mostly fractional. They seemed to all be very nice and friendly with as much of a family atmosphere as you can have in a "large" operator. There is also a training contract for every initial type rating. Weight the pros/cons for yourself and make up your mind on your personal feelings.

Thanks so much, everyone for the info. I'm not interested. Take care all!

That's probably a good choice. I didn't want to say anything since I don't have any first hand knowledge, but a crew once told me, "if you can do something else, do it."

Yes, been there, done that. I'm looking for a LONG-TERM position. Not leaving my current position until I think I've found it. Based on my lifestyle and QOL needs, I'm pretty sure the airlines are the best choice for me. I never thought I'd say that!! Times change though as has our industry. Thanks everyone for your input!

I'm starting to feel the same way. I'm gonna be stuck with a regional since the big guys want time in jets over 20,000 lbs. That's the way I understand it anyway. Hate to come all this way down the 135 road just to make a U turn and go 121. At least I have had some fun along the way!
