Even More Pictures From The Ramp

Thanks for the comments! Although a lot of it I would say is getting lucky with the right lighting conditions or a unique aircraft; I wouldn't call myself a professional or anything. The night shots in particular come from experimentation, and due to my camera's aperture limitations it's about the only time I can get the prop blur effect.

Fantastic photos! What exposure time were you using for those night shots?

Generally between 5-10 seconds in shutter priority mode (the camera sets the aperture itself). I've gotten away with the lower end of that but have better luck on the higher end. I also keep the ISO at 100 to avoid too much noise.

Oh yeah, I know these two babies inside and out, I used to work on both exact aiplanes from the pics. The C-2 is used to deliver people, mail and parts to the aircraft carriers and the bottom one is a training airplane.

Grumman C-2A(R) Greyhound; callsign "Rawhide 03." Probably the dirtiest (not to mention stinkiest) airplane I've seen on the ramp.

Grumman E-2C Hawkeye.
