A United commuter flight carrying 39 passengers landed safely at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport on Monday night after the pilots reported having difficulty with the plane’s left wing.
The Embraer 145 jet began experiencing problems with the wing’s aileron – the back hinged portion of the wing that controls the planes ability to turn – after taking off from Shreveport, La., said Wichita Mid-Continent Airport spokeswoman Valerie Wise. The plane had been headed to Denver.
Wichita’s first reports of the pilots’ concerns came at 6:48 Monday night when the plane was 50 miles from Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport, a Sedgwick County 911 dispatcher said.
The plane landed at 7:10 p.m. Airport police and fire units, as well as Sedgwick County emergency personnel, assembled as the plane began its descent, Wise said.

Is SFO-OTH a puddle jump meow? IIRC, isn't that 2 hours of vibrating goodness for the pax?
I wouldn't know, I don't go to North Bend. That's better left to the San Fransiscans or Fresnikistanis, the Captains of such crews must be specially qualified for that airport.
