Envoy to Mainline

Since the merger of AA and US, I was curious how many dispatchers from the wholly owned Envoy were taken on by either L-AA or L-US in the hiring since the merger? One would think Envoy would take advantage of the resources available to them and AA would take advantage of their investment.

Envoy wholly owned?

pmUS has taken very few. Envoy and pmUS had, and continue to have nothing to do with each other. pmUS had the ability to draw from their wholly owned's PSA and Piedmont, but even those numbers are low.

Since the merger was announced most L-AA hiring has been from Envoy for both dispatch and dispatch managers. 30-35 dispatchers roughly and about a half dozen dispatchers in supervisory positions have moved over since the merger. L-US has hired about 4 or 5 or so from Envoy.

Since the merger was announced only 4 externals have been hired at L-AA in dispatch and about the same into supervisory positions. The rest all internals and Envoy.

Also - since the transfer rules changed last year - Most all high seniority dispatchers at envoy (orig eagle) are staying put. Recent envoy new hires, ie one year wonders, have been benefiting greatly from this.

That's interesting. So where is the L-US side getting there recent new hires from?

Class that just started actually took a few from Envoy, a couple of Legacy AA internals, a couple of US internals, and a few externals as well. It should be noted that even though the current class was for legacy US...legacy AA HR seemed to have more influence than in the past.

In the last couple of classes I believe only one guy was hired from a wholly owned.

Can tell you legacy US has taken maybe 3-5 in the past 3 years from PSA. It doesn't sound like they value the work experience at PSA.
