Envoy Hiring

What airplanes will they fly? Y'all are cutting back flow and losing contracts to Skywest. Maybe adjust the hiring numbers in your head.
Just to straightened a couple of things
- there were historically various groups flowing at various rates. We are close to going to the last defined group, which flows based on a formula vs hard numbers prior to that. Technically not cutting back, it was always there.
- unlike skywest, MQ doesn't have "contracts". It's a frigging cost center.

Not to say there aren't issues, place could be better. Being a WO comes with both up- and downsides.

Can you explain that to me like I’m 5?

WO carriers don't have the ability to decide how much profit (or loss) is acceptable and then tell the parent company that they will fly a route or number of block hours at a specific cost. They just cost the parent company a certain amount of money. Any "profit" generated by the flights they operate goes to the parent company. There is zero revenue on a WO's balance sheet.

Thank you!
