Air Methods Corporation Nashville, Tennessee:<BR /><p> </p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p><span>Responsible to serve as a communications coordinator between all customers of Air Methods Communications (AirCom), including aircraft flight crews, pre-hospital health care providers and other qualified callers.</span></p><p><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</strong> include the following</p><ul><li><span>Coordinate all flight coordination information, including computer data entry</span></li><li><span>Responsible for flight following from lift off to touch down, following all FAA and company regulations</span></li><li><span>Responsible for initial communications of public, private and flight-related calls coming into AirCom</span></li><li><span>Responsible for communications between pre-hospital health care providers and the receiving institutions</span></li><li><span>Promote communication between Communications Specialists, members of Flight team and outside agencies</span></li><li><span>Assist in training new employees</span></li><li><span>Other Duties as assigned.</span></li></ul><p><strong><span>Additional Job Requirements</span></strong></p><ul><li><span>Regular Scheduled Attendance</span></li><li><span>Compliance with policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook, AirCom Policy and Procedure Handbook and customer defined policy and procedure</span></li><li><span>Ability to work 12 hour shifts and be on call as required</span></li><li><span>Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 5</span></li></ul><p><span>Subject to applicable laws and Air Methods policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Air Methods employment practices and policies.</span></p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></p><p><span>This position has no supervisory responsibilities. </span></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><span>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. In accordance with applicable laws, Air Methods will provide reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden so disabled employees may perform the essential functions of the position.</span></p><p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p><p><span>&middot;<span> </span></span>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p><ul><li>1-2 years dispatch experience or experience with medical terminology used by Emergency Medical Technician or CNA</li><li>Ability to present a professional image on the telephone and radio</li></ul><p><strong> Skills</strong></p><p><span>&middot;<span> </span></span>Ability to multi-task efficiently, works in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and has a strong attention for detail</p><ul><li>Advanced customer service and phone skills</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude</li><li>Ability to take and relay reports accurately</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels</li></ul><p><strong>Computer Skills </strong></p><p><span>&middot;<span> </span></span>Intermediate with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Outlook</p><p><strong>We offer in-house training for this position and have a career progression program for advancement.</strong></p><p><strong>Day and night shifts available! Night shift differential pay offered! </strong></p><p><strong>This position is on-site at our 24/7 dispatch facility in Omaha, NE.
