Earnhardt Jr. Selling E145

Not too surprising. Junior hasn't been doing too well this year on the race track.

I don't know much about Nascar but I dont' believe JR drives for Earnhardt Racing anymore. I believe he is with Hendrick Motorsports now. Jr flies in a Lear 60 (N8JR).

Alex.

They belong to DEI, the team run by Dale Senior's widdow.

At least one of them is an old Luxair bird that flew through BGR on its way over. Super cool crew.

It surprizes me that any of the teams own their own. One of the old instructors from skypark flies for express jet in their charter divison and he said the fly most of the nascar teams around. Seems like using express jet would be cheaper than having your own plane.

RCR I believe owns their own planes... one of those NASCAR owners has quite the fleet, i just can't remember which one... he has a few Premiers and a 727. I think it is Jack Rousche.

vice versa. It was in this months flying mag

Roush has a Premier and 2 727's. He leases a hanger from us and the Premier is in and out all the time. He flies his P51 down to his team HQ in NC quite frequently during the week and takes the Premier to races. The 727's come in from time to time, but I didn't see them during the race earlier this month.

The guy I'm flying with this trip used to fly for Richard Childress Racing. He said it was a pretty good gig. I'll ask him about this.

from the last flight on the cvr-

- turn right heading 150
- unable

- hold at xyz, right turns
- unable

- turn right at charlie, holdshort of the runway
- unable

etc.

And a nice 60 it is, I wing walked it in to Dover. He walked right by and I didn't even know it was him. To make it worse, he was sitting outside the terminal building when I was and didn't even know till I walked back in.

Hendrick motorsports has (or had in 2006 at least) a pair of Saab 2000s.

Hendrick has three, Gibbs has two.

And yeah, Rousch flies his own Premeir and operates two 727s. Great crews.

I bet they enjoy a bit of solitude, he prolly thought you were being extraordinarily cool.

I figure it would have been a little more tricked-out than that.
