I got an interview with Dynamic coming up. Anybody know anything about the sim eval and the actual interview? I've searched around on here and couldn't find anything

Hey, just wondering if you would let the rest of us know how you got that interview at Dynamic?

I had someone walk in a resume about 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard back from them.

Got a friend interning there, he submitted my name, got a phone call. Totally out of the blue. It's for the oil spill response, contract job

If you look in to Dynamic and its origins, you might notice (or might already know) that it was founded with/by some people who have strong opinions about certain metaphysical arguments and books you might find in hotel drawers. Just something to keep in mind in the interview.

lol, that's quite the way to say that's it's founded by Christians. Yeah, I know it is, big plus for me.

Also, thanks atpcliff for the links, they were helpful.

It varies a lot, I have no where near their posted mins. yet they gave me a call. Other forums (given in the links above) have a lot of discussion about their hiring practices.

Hate to be that guy... but what kind of time do the guys have that they pick up?

They have a posting for a pilot with commercial multi with 500hrs with an A&P. So I applied, received a phone call a couple days later. I don't have any king air time (PIC or SIC, only wrench time) but was told it was the first of two phone interviews. The gig is for off shore oil work in the gulf in a King Air 90 & 200. Short term contract, which could lead to future employment on other jobs.

Most of the questions were general employment, how do you rate you ability to work with others, in an environment such as this...., do you have any objection to being away from home for a period of time, are you willing to travel on short notice?

I'll keep you posted on what the next phone call brings.

Thanks to OP and other who have posted here. I met a crew that was working in Jeddah and a couple of guys offered to walk in my resume. I don't have an A&P but have been in the military and would be willing to work overseas. They said for certain contracts an A&P cert is not required.

Still trying to figure out though what magic needs to be in the resume to catch their eye.

Oh well, keep working and apply later and for other when I have the hours.

In addition to the black socks that Roger so kindly reminded you of, I would also leave the camo belt at home and go with a black one.

No cammo hats either. I know several of the guys here are sporting them, but they are in the maintenance department. It really doesn't go with the business casual look. Honest.

No I have not yet. I applied a couple weeks ago, received the first phone call a few days after and made a follow up call last week. The woman on the other end of the phone told me it could take a couple of weeks for the second phone interview.

I got the job!

Congrats! I will be applying soon. Well, within a year. Retirement can’t come fast enough from my first career. Any details or PMs once you get there will be greatly appreciated. Again, Congrats.
