I just got to work as I'm running a little late. Why? Well, I just finished my Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land (CASEL) add-on checkride! I passed.
Why is it the dumbest checkride evar (spelled incorrectly on purpose to emphasize the silliness)? Because I was a commercial multi-engine pilot and a CFI-AME (or what is commonly refered to as an "MEI") yet in the infintie wisdom of the FAA I was somehow not competent enough to fly a single engine aircraft for hire or compensation.
But, now I am.
Why? All because I went out and did steep turns, chandelles, an emergency off-field landing, 8's on pylons and a few landings including the power-off 180º accuracy landing.
But hey it's one more down and only two more checkrides (both add-ons) to go!
