DTW AMEs

Any recommendations for AMEs in the DTW area?
I'm currently in Ann Arbor but wouldn't mind driving elsewhere for a reputable AME. Price? Accepts insurance? (1st class)

I got my 1st class up on Saginaw, I am too lazy to go into the car to get my medical, Gregory Pinnell, good guy. http://www.ok2fly.com/ is his website. I think I paid like 70-90$ when did mine Jan 2008. Locally in the metro area I find them wanting 170$, unless he gave me a deal for getting 1st class when I was a student pilot.

He works for/fights for pilots, so I plan on going back when I need a 1st again.

Angel, there is a guy in Saline, MI who did my third class about 8 years ago, I will try to dig up his name.

I used to go to a guy up in Flint named...ahh...can't remember his name, but decent guy.

Or better yet, call a flight school. Generally they have lists of AME's around the area.


I know Solo Aviation out of Ann Arbor has a list.

Thanks, I know I can do that. I just figured I could get some recommendations from people who've gotten them done in the area.
