doings at UND

ok, I had to reply to this one. I'm a chick and fly at UND. I can say that my looks are just fine (Luke has my back on that one), but the aviation department isn't the best place to look for good looking women.

I wish I had some female aviation friends, but most of my friends, roommates, etc. are men. That's what I get for growing up with 6 brothers
 
Largely because I get such a large volume of email from women interested in aviation and I like to keep it 'real' by having people answer questions from perspectives that they're directly related to.

Kind of like if you've got a military question, here's a military pilot. Or if you've got a freight question, here are three freight pilots.

That would be my mom. It was really windy that day (gusting to 29) and so we got a little close for the picture. If you ever meet Kurt you will know there is no way that would be him.

Yeah, I was kind of impaired when I looked at that picture last night. Now that I look at it, I can tell it's your mom. How is she btw?
 
that must have been the most recent parent's weekend. It went dual only during some of that time and there was some nice wind shear saturday morning. My 102 student went up with me and his family and now i'm hoping he does his best landings ever so i dont look like i didnt teach him worth a dime

actually, one of the controllers up here has a big ERAU bumper sticker in the back window of his pickup. Though I haven't seen it lately, I saw it a lot over the summer. Wow, I just noticed that ERAUPILOT and Douchebag have the same number of letters. Coincidence, I think not. J/k of course.
 
remember there are there are enough stuck up people here that advertise their siouxness - license plates which read UNDAV8R, BCGUMP, MAGSOFF, MY SKY, UNDPLT, etc etc. one of my favorites, however, is a green altima (i think) with the license plate IH8GFND..must be a fellow foreigner

i agree, though, having that license plate on a BMW is asking for trouble. i wouldn't drive that pile to college.

i'm on the right (so on the left when looking from our point of view) trying not to laugh. the kid on the left is from seattle and scottie, who's feigning being passed out there in the middle, is from bend, OR. that thing was staged, all the empties are from scottie's roommate's weekend. we only had an MGD each or thereabouts....definately not drunk. we were actually working on a project for airport management class (avit 402).

edit - i live in the basement of a house about 5 blocks north of campus. that picture is in scottie's living room in the Gallery Apartments, which is an ok joint. not too spendy, close to campus (1 block north), big rooms.
