I have my DoDMERB scheduled for 4 Oct. I'm nervous as hell! I've heard many horror stories about random eye problems, etc!

DODMERB was a nightmare. Awful doctors all the way around. They decided that I was colorblind (I am not) and they required the Farnsworth Lantern Test. Mr. Farnsworth invented the television and in his spare time came up with this nifty contraption to test color blindness. Of course the doctor you go to wont have the thing so you have to find one on your own. I had to schlepp to the Merchant Marine Academy during rush hour. I should have blown it off, then I wouldnt be sitting in Iraq right now eating large quantities of s&*t. Enough about me... Just make sure you do well on the color vision test.

By the way...are you attempting to get in an academy?
