Apparently some passenger is on the "No Fly List" and the flight is diverting to Bangor.

Ok, is it Ted Kennedy or Cat Stevens this time?

Why does Bangor get all the diverts for this kind of stuff?

I believe it is the first airport on US soil (from those routes) that can handle international flights

I think it's the first airport with customs after entering the CONUS -- I think, but don't quote me on it.

As posted above... location, customs and a nice 11440 x 200 ft runway and it is almost always dead there anyway. Gives them something to do.

So is this one coming or going to France? If coming, why is it diverting when they turned the last plane (from Switzerland or something like that) around and sent it back?
