Disqualified for Air Traffic Control

Hey Doctor, I was informed that I was disqualified to be an air traffic controller because from the result of the MMPI and the report from the referred local psychologist they have concluded that I have "Anxiety Disorder". I'm a private pilot, have my own physical done every year and none of my family member has no psychological disorders whatsoever. The only thing I can do is to appeal the case to Federal Air Surgeon in D.C and hope for a good verdict. What's your opinion on the use of MMPI to screen candidates? and my chance of appeal the case? Anything will help, Thank You

The MMPI is a reasonably good screening tool. Appeals to the Federal Air Surgeon are usually unsuccessful.
