Dispatch Schools

I went to a dispatch school about 5 years ago. Not gonna name the name. It does seem that a lot of people have different experiences with all the different schools. I went in with zero aviation experience. The course and curriculum were very intense. Somehow, I did manage to get through, and did quite well in my opinion. Especially considering I didn't have any practical aviation experience. I was able to get a job with a regional carrier out west, and that went well. Unfortunately, the carrier filed for bankruptcy, and I was one of the unlucky ones that got furloughed. I got a job with a 135 cargo carrier, and worked there for about 2 years, and then got a job with a fractional carrier (135/91) where I have been ever since.

Here is my take on the school I went to. Location was fine. Curriculum, fantastic, very intense. Instructor knew his stuff, but was very arrogant. The management of the school were also very arrogant, and had quite a sense of entitlement. I get that, its normal with any type of successful business. My only issues were just that I had a previously existing medical condition, and had a hard time sleeping on the bed that was provided for me, and the fact that the air conditioning in the lodging that was provided went out the weekend before the exams. Ok, that stuff happens. I came on this forum, and just basically said what I just stated, and the management came on here and totally trashed me for giving an honest opinion about beds and instructors being arrogant. I never complained when the course was going on, I came in, studied and worked hard and passed. I received several threatening emails from the management stating that they knew a lot of people in the industry, and they could make my life horrible. Ok, fine. I also apologized via email to the management if they took anything the wrong way, and still more threats!

With the tuition at this school, there was supposed to be free recurrent or refresher training. I have made several attempts to reach out to the school, but no response. In any case, Im still glad I went, because I learned a lot.

You skipped the part about Pinnacle and your industry credibility is non-existent, Stickks. Stay off of here, please.
