Hey everyone, I'm still trying to decide if I want to get into dispatching. I am currently considering the Aug 20th Sheffield start. I'm ready for something new in my life for sure. I have the "I'm tired of working a dead end job and working on a dead end degree feeling" worse than ever...I was just wondering what the realistic job market is like with dispatching. If I am prepared to move. What are my chances like on landing a decent job after school?

I just finished dispatch school (yesterday!) @ Jeppesen and have an interview lined up back home. However, I made some contacts before leaving for school so that definitely helped. If u can, tour somewhere and make contacts like I did. It could also lead to an interview. Otherwise, the trend from what I've seen on here seems to be 2-5 months to land that first job. There's jobs available, but competition is stiff. With zero aviation experience it'll be hard to get a decent job.

The first job is always the hardest one to get. That being said, I had zero airline experience and I got a job I enjoyed within 3 months of finishing school.
