Difference between B1900C & D

Hi,

I have an AFM for the B1900D which I will start reading to prepare for a Ground School for the B1900C.

Can anyone tell me what are the main differences between the C & D model? If I read the D model manual, are there any chapters or sections I should avoid so as not to confuse my self with the C model that I will be flying?

I assume most of the systems are the same, but obviously the performance specs are different because of the engines right?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

well one thing I know for sure is that the D version has a higher cabin height so you can stand without hitting things with your head :)

The 1900C has PT6A-65B engines (1,100 SHP)

The 1900D has PT6A-67D engines (1,279 SHP)

I'm looking to avoid memorizing all the speeds, limitations, etc. for the D model if they are significantly different than the C. Maybe I'll just browse general systems!

Just from having passed by many of them....

simply put...the D has tons of crap hanging off it ie, strakes, winglets, a tart-cart pop top and higher rated engines.

Lemme try to do this from memory.

I *think* the MGTOW of the -D is 16,950 and the -C is 16,600.

-D's got bigger engines and a stand up cabin with a lot of crap on it called the 'stability augmentation package'.

-D's got 4-tube EFIS standard.

I think that might be it, but I'm not all that sure.
