DFW Highspeed departures

I haven't been through DFW in some time now. I was wondering if DFW still has the practice of accelerating aircraft too 300 KIAS below 10,000?

To the best of my knowledge, no.

With the exception of an aircraft operational requirement that I don't know of, I've never heard anybody cleared for that. Most of the RNAV departures have speed crossing restrictions of 240 or less until around the bend regardless of altitude, too.

The high speed departures were at IAH, not DFW. The program started in 1997 and ended a few years later.

The Houston Increased Speed Departure test program was terminated on January 1, 2004.

Sounds like a useful program. My standard climb schedule in the 117 was already 350 until .78M anyway.

Was she in your squadron?
