Denied the SIDA badge, appeal

A guy in my class awhile back was arrested and then later had all charges dropped. His lawyer said you won't have to worry about it showing up on your record. Well, when it came to the "have you ever been arrested question" he answered no. The company found out and kicked him out of class.

This is why this needs to change from "arrested" to "convicted". I know a few good people who were in the wrong place, at the wrong time, arrested, and either charges dropped, or found not guilty.

Yup.
On the other hand, resisting arrest is pretty much the LEO equivalent of the FAA's 91.13. If you've done nothing wrong but have the unmitigated temerity to do anything that might allegedly offend LEO (you know, like asking a polite question, for instance), LEO will then use "resisting arrest" to arrest you in a fashion similar to how Jimbo Kerns uses "it's coming right at us" to shoot any damned thing he pleases.

I don't in any way dispute that this does/has happen/happened. But I'm not what one would call the most Authority-loving of the Sky Bully's children, and I've yet to get in to it in a serious way with any cops. Let alone get charged with Resisting. Now, granted, that's apocryphal, and certainly statistically insignificant, but comeon. I know plenty of people who are FAR worse citizens than I am in the eyes of Law Enforcement, and even THEY, to my knowledge, have never been charged with that particular crime. Maybe Mr. OP is that unlucky guy who found the Bad Evil Pig on the wrong day...it's entirely possible. But is it likely? Eh. Hard to say. Seems like maybe not, to me. Now, if he could be persuaded to share the story, I might feel differently. Not that how I feel is particularly important, mind you. But in lieu of any kind of explanation other than "it's not a big deal", I'm sort of inclined to side with Evil Authoritay, etc etc. I know, I know. Baa! Baa!
