This was my experience. I thought it went well, but the briefness made me feel a bit uneasy.
I met the interviewer at the Delta ticket counter. We went to the interview room where she had me sign and date my application.
She then proceeded to ask me three questions:
1. Are you able to lift 70 pounds comfortably?
2. If I were to ask your current or previous employer about your attendance, what would they say?
3. Have you ever had a conflict with another coworker, and how did you resolve it?
4. What steps would you take in order to stay safe in our work environment?
My answers (I tried to keep everything intelligent but brief - I was expecting the interview to be a lot longer with more questions):
1. Yes, no problems at all.
2. Perfect attendance.
3. No conflicts ever with another coworker.
4. Communication with other employees/people on the ramp, stay cautious/keep your eyes open and follow procedures. Don't do anything stupid basically.
She then thanked me for my time and to probably expect a call on Wednesday (just under a week).
I am feeling very uneasy about this. I am not sure if the brevity of it was a good or bad thing. Has anyone ever had an experience such as this for a ramp agent (or similar) position? I really want this job.
Thanks in advance for any information or advice. I also hope anyone else who will apply to DGS or similar companies finds this useful.
