Delta Charging $200 a Month Extra for Health Insurance if you don't have The Shot

New York (CNN Business)Delta Air Lines is raising health care costs for employees who insist on staying unvaccinated.
The airline said that as of November 1, unvaccinated staff will pay up to $200 a month more for their company health insurance, depending on the coverage. It will also limit the number of sick days unvaccinated employees are allowed to take if they contract Covid-19.
It will also require unvaccinated employees to take weekly Covid tests.
Delta (DAL) CEO Ed Bastian made the announcement in a company-wide memo, which the company shared with CNN.

"While we can be proud of our 75% vaccination rate, the aggressiveness of the variant means we need to get many more of our people vaccinated, and as close to 100% as possible," said Bastian.

Essentially bullying people into complying with no long term FDA data on 1 out of 3 “approved” drugs. This is a workaround for mandating it so they are off the hook for any adverse effects. For pilots and senior stews $200 is probably a drop in the bucket, but for the rampers and gate agents this will force them to either get the shot or quit

Assuming the unvaccinated labor force quits and the company has to hire & train replacements, but only vaccinated replacements. It'll cost a lot more than $200 to 'onboard' a new hire.

If the unvaccinated unskilled labor quit in large numbers, hiring replacements would be the least of their worries. That could likely cripple the airline.

Guarantee they ran several scenarios on what happens to operational reliability and whether the company could still “hack the turn” on getting the staff turned over in time for Thanksgiving. I guess they were satisfied with the results. The company is very clear on where it stands.

ASSUMING the SIZE of the unvaccinated labor force has an impact?

I wouldn't wish to be the one who quit who puts that to the test I remember what Reagan did to Air Traffic Controllers back in the day.

I'd be hard pressed to test the outcome.

NOW, I see why "fake" vaccination card prices are on the rise. There's a market for everything these days.
