Delta announces 75 CS100 purchase

In another article I read about the order, it did say that Delta had options for the CS300/500 down the road. Deliveries should start in Spring of 2018.

MONTREAL – Bombardier says Delta Air Lines Inc. has placed a firm order for 75 CS100 aircraft with options for an additional 50 more in what would be the largest order for the company’s troubled CSeries passenger jet program.

The Montreal-based Bombardier says based on the list price, the firm order is valued at approximately US$5.6 billion.

Delivery of the aircraft to Delta is expected to begin in 2018.

The 90 is not a true Maddog experience. Just a "taste" of the Salt Mine

Ill take the 88 over the 90 any day of the week, with the exception of a slick runway in LGA or DCA.

If you can get on with SJI in the next few years you should have no trouble bidding the maddog. It will always be the junior airplane.

You're high! :) But you weren't around for the split categories. The MD-90s were exclusively DFW pilots and the -88's were everywhere.

The problem that I had with the -88's at the time was that we'd go from a nice, quiet (except when the VSCF fans were running) -90 and then end up in an AHRS-only MD-88 that would often find itself confused under 5000 feet and the map would do all sorts of "interesting" stuff.

It's all relative. The -88/90 were like space ships compared to the 737-200 which I had just come off.

Well hell, somebody had to throw Bombardier another lifeline . . . hopefully that billion-dollar lifesaver attached to it, along with the other ones already thrown in by the Canadian govmt, will have enough buoyancy to keep them afloat!
