Not sure if there are any cruise ships in KTN today with the abbreviated/pared back cruise season, but yes, definitely a sightseeing flight. Latest update says 6 aboard, coast guard and private helicopter company both unable to reach ELT coords due to wx

I remember taking a May 2015 cruise 7nt from Seattle and did the sightseeing tour at Ketchikan. Holland America Westerdam. 7 weeks later, same ship, same itinerary, Beaver went down (I think Taquan Air) at Ketchikan.

Heard him active his flight plan as we were getting our IFR.. it was not nice out today.

Hard to believe that’s that long ago. Then again next year is 10 years for 00M. Haven’t been that way low in a while, wonder if you can still see any of the wreckage.

I do think we are due for a quake down here, faults been quite for 9 years with lots of movement on both north and south of it.
