Anyone heard this term yet? It's a first for me and the men who are "here to help" basically said it's anything that doesn't fall under accident or incident.

Edit: Apparently I can't even spell it: occurrence

I've only heard it used in the context of flight attendants, uttered by an inflight supervisor, as in "you just got an occurrence for delaying the flight/whatever." (Think attendance.)

FAA Order 2150.3B is the place to go for enforcement actions. In that order, the word "occurrence" is only used as you would use the word "event" in text.

Without knowing any more than what I read here, I'd suggest going here:

http://asrs.arc.nasa.gov/report/electronic.html

to file a NASA ASRS report tonight. You don't even have to pay for a stamp. The only thing it will cost you is a few minutes. Also, regardless of what happened or the relationship to you professionally, filing the report will give NASA more data upon which they can improve the aviation safety system. So, you're doing a good thing whether it benefits you personally or not.

Trust me the website was being loaded within minutes.
