How would you guys respond to such an email:

I am now 24 years old and would really like to know if there is space for me in the commercial pilot's industry. I need as much detail as possible so that I can make an informed decision.

Back in college in the seventies I exhaustively researched airline industry history (definition of exhaustively: hung over).
The conclusion was that no one could accurately predict the future of this industry more than 2 months in advance. (Example: ALPA briefly considered boycotting jets because of the "devastating" effect they would have on pilot careers, they were too fast and carried too many people)

30 years in the industry has confirmed my original conclusion. So, everybody has to make their own decisions, live with them, and not pretend later that somebody guaranteed them something. Prediction: trying to make a living flying airplanes will continue to be a roller coaster ride, as it always has been. Good luck and enjoy.
