Welcome to the club!! So, tell us, how many times has the screen turned red or you had to call the techs for re-boot!

Welcome to the site! I'm not exactly a seasoned member here, but a warm welcome just the same!

Not much of an introduction post Jeff. You'll have to tell them all about yourself. You're deffiently an interesting guy. When did you get the Extra? Still have the Zlin?

Right now.....I just want to go back to my little 727.....

I'm hangin on by the tip of the prop.....err....the end of the autothrottle...something lke that.

We had a light weight takeoff out of ONT yesterday and I couldn't believe the acceleration rate on the roll. It was like 80 knots, Vee one, rotate, Vee two all in one breath. We were so light that our final approach speed was only 113 knots going into OAK....I don't ever remember going that slow in the 727.

Both my landings were crunchers but at least I hit the touchdown zone.

The 757 is a cool jet and I can't wait to have my traning finished.

Now, if I can just remember how to properly tie the plastic garbage bag behind the center pedistal, I'll be happy......you have to do it just right....

Hey Alex...The Zlin is gone....Have had the Extra for a few months....What an awesome airplane....Mike Mancuso(Ex Northern Lights Aero Pilot) was in town for "Thunder Over Lousiville" and we had a chance to fly together...What a great experience......Don (De727) says hi........

I know on the Mad dog, you hang the garbage back on the aileron trim wheel, then you wrap the handle around the wheel once more and it's 'properly' attached.

Wait a second Don.....Did you say crunchers.....They have a new Notam for both Ontario and Oakland airports, they have lowered the "airport elevations"by 100' since your landing.....Ok just kidding.......Jeff

Lemme guess, it wasn't Don's fault, is was the asphalt, eh?

At least you don't have to deal with 183 passengers (std pax conf'd 757) asking "Well, were you in the NAVY or somethin'?"

Yeah...on the 727 you just tied the garbage bag onto the aileon trim knob. I tied it to the aileron trim switches on the 757 but we did a snap roll when Jeff tossed out his crew meal.......

Just remember, if you step *down* into the cockpit, it's a 757. If you step *up* into the cockpit, it's a 767!

Hi There....Right now its sunny and brezzy....Off to go back to SDF then we go to PDX tomorrow.....Nice to meet you.....Jeff.

Welcome MrJet --

I had the chance to visit the 757 cockpit a couple of weeks ago. Amazing how much room there is!

When I was in the -88 cockpit on the same trip the first thing I noticed was the trashbag and how it was tied - quite interesting.
