Dangit People!!!

One more job open for a new hire!! everyone go up 1 seniority slot....:)

*if your gonna be stupid, be stupid on your own time*

I know pilots are stubborn but geesh you would think that by now more of the ones who partake of adult beverages on an overnight would get the clue. The TSA agents are looking for that as much as anything. I know common sense in the airline industry doesnt really exist but come on. Eventually you will get caught why risk your whats pays the bills

Has a fellow crew member ever asked you if you can smell alcohol on his/her breath on the ride to the airport? Just in case? Or is that kind of a "Don't bring me into your trouble" sort of thing?

Never had that happen. If it did I would be really hesitent to fly with them either way.

I see. Say the ride to the airport is at 9am, and you visually saw the crew member go into their room at 10pm the previous night. He casually asks you, you still wouldn't?

If I was a capt and My crewmember came downstairs for the van smelling and stublin i would say "You're Not F'in Drunk are you? Cuz if you are just call in sick"....and then if she didnt, I would tell them to send me another FO anyways.

If I was an FO I would say something a little more poetic.

Besides that is a waste fo $120 to buy it. Just think how much booze you could buy on your next overnight......:sarcasm:

Fool, you use it to start a competition to see whose BAC can get higher. Then, when the other dude passes out (because you don't try as hard as him), you steal his wallet.

Thing pays for itself :D

Those portable breathalyzers rock - best $100 I wasted in a long time. I don't know how many impromptu drinking contests that thing has spawned in the 2 years I've had it. Also good for getting the attention of some womenfolk in the bars as well. You do the math on whether it's worth it...
