Dallas Location

Do I feel the love for Dallas in here! Hello Tram the man! Good to see you are still active in here. And Casey too? He must have too much time on his hands in the office. Maybe I need to make a call to Jim and keep him busy.......lol You got to love when all your former students are getting hired! First Jeremy, then Pokin, Casey "aka Neo", and now Smokey..... How sweet it is!

Tram......did your dad buy the plane? You need to get plugged into ATP. Make the move man! Multi, multi, multi!!! Your former partner is staying busy flight instructing locally.......

Hell yeah, Dallas is the place to be. We just need some of you damn instructors who have been hogging all the time there to get your resumes out and go ahead and get hired by the regionals. That way people like Casey and I can finally get back to Cheddar's where we belong.

nah, he's in chicago waiting for dfw to open up. Im still in he office waiting for anything with housing to open, but trying to get back to dallas eventually.

mmm buffalo chicken tenders.

Yep, I'm out here in beautiful Chicago. It's actually pretty nice, the only reason I want to get back to Dallas is because my wife is in San Antonio. We've been pretty busy out here averaging between 60-70 hours a month and I just cracked 350 TT. I actually was lucky enough to only have to be in the office for about a week cause Chicago was one of my top three choices and it happened to be open. So, no complaints out of me. Except I wish Coach would hurry up and get hired already! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We just spent three days in Dallas waiting for an airplane to fly back east. I've got to say the actual location seems great and the Dallas/Fort Worth area was pretty sweet as well. We managed to keep busy on the cheap (practicing the whole starving CFI thing) by going to the Zoo, a Rangers game ($5 tickets!) and such. Definatly has been added to my list of locations I wouldn't mind instructing at.

We're about halfway through our xc time (wow does it fly by) and currently filed out of PNS (hehe... say that three times fast) back to SUA via LAL. Good times with a wonderful tropical low sitting just of the Florida coast.

Pokin!
Its good to hear from you. Everybody in Dallas wants to get to the regionals ASAP. I hope you can get back to Dallas and even more so Sean. (Did I spell that right?) Anyways, the manager at Cheddars has a spot reserved for you and NEO ....errrr I mean Casey. I'll call you. LATE.

Ahh Aurora isn't tooo bad.. Is that broken down Gulfstream still sitting out on the ramp? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

No, I'm loving it out here in Aurora. The broken down Gulfstream is still here but they moved it to the other side of the airport along with John Travolta's first jet. We had some new neighbors move in next door for a couple of months. They give aerobatic rides in their 2 T-6 warbirds. It looks awesome and they have cameras mounted on the wings so you can buy the DVD of yourself afterwards. The only problem is that it costs $170 for 15 minutes. A little steep for me.

Adam- Hey man, I just read your post up at the top there.. Yeh, he bought it.. It's pretty sweet, alot of fun to fly and no more yoke, this baby has a stick. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif It's also got a GNS 530 and 430 with storm scope and a KAP140 autopilot. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Somehow we wound up with 3 airplanes in the last 3 months.. The 172 is on the "for sale" listings locally..

While I wouldn't mind getting hooked up with ATP, I got the "final" call yesterday from Airspeed and I think flying the ole' King Air would be a little more fun than the seminole. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm moving down to Dothan in the next month or so.. Taking the Diamond down next week to look for a roof to put over my head.. I also just picked up a student locally who I am going to be flying with until I leave and then hand him off.

Also guys, who are thinking about the program, I cannot tell you how valuable the GNS 430 time is.. I've had 3 "students" since I got out of the program who I've gotten to fly with and teach them about the GNS 430.. There are some doctors out there with some really nice planes, who need to learn how to use the equipment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Peter - Why'd they move the Lear? That thing had some pretty funky exhaust on it, didn't it?
