CTI -Vacancy -Closed 5/30

I see tons of OTS people talking on here about various topics....thought I would start one for CTI grads...any others on here that applied for the CTI vacancy that closed May 30? Hopefully we'll hear something next week!
 
o really...wow thats interesting to find out...nobody from my program at ERAU that I knew took that route...hmmm
 
I can think of two off the top of my head that did it :) Of the ones I've met, they applied for OTS well before graduating. Whichever came first, they jumped on it in the hopes that they could avoid the long wait that could occur after graduation. Sure they have to go through the basics course, but it is a breeze for them!
 
well i guess that makes sense then for people who want to stick only to ATC forever, if they don't really need a degree....

Already have two AA degrees. CTI is the [probably unnecessary] backup plan should the OTS apps not succeed or just take too long.

I have 2 Bachelors an AS, and an A&P IA, The CTI is just an extra layer of insurance to make sure I get an ATC job.....
 
Hey...I put down only one state..AZ...and there werent too many openings..and im assuming they all pretty much went to VRA.......Im goin to put down more states the next time the CTI vacancy opens
 
I put down 5 states, got on the referral list for all of them CA, IL, IA, WI, OR. I emailed someone at Aviation Careers and she said that in order to close out the referral list and update the status on ASAP they need all of the referral certificates back from the staffing specialists. I was curious because three of my states were updated. If your referral list status has not changed, hold out some hope. The person I emailed was able to tell me that she shows that I have been tentatively selected for CA. This is for CTI announcement only
 
Yeah my status did change...I talked to OKC and they explained what most likely happened..cause I scored well-qualified on my at-sat and graduated top of my class from ERAU...it was just from this panel the number they needed for that state was very little...so im going to put down some other states next time around to gaurantee a spot!
