Creatine?

Since creatine is a naturally occuring substance it is not regulated and is not disallowed by the FAA.

Creatine does not increase muscle strength and if it does anything it just increases mass of the muscle while lightening your wallet/

I am no MD, but whenever I do a "cycle" of creatine, I can put on a 10 lbs. and generally feel much less fatigue while lifting (power lifting).

Maybe I am just a head case.. :)

Maybe it's a placebo! I don't like taking stuff like that, it seems like we are always learning of side effects and adverse reactions. Just put in a good honest effort, save the money, and who cares if you've got that extra 10# on there or not.

I do put in more than an honest effort. But IMO, our muscles (and body) need additional support from nutrition and/or supplements when we bring it to the breaking point day in and day out. When our muscles are broken down to the extent of such a work out, its my belief they need to be nourished back to "health".

As for not knowing the effects, creatine is naturally produced by the body and found in many sources of food. Namely red meat.

I am not disagreeing with the good doctor but if it truly doesnt work, why are nearly all collegeiate football weight training programs including it into their regiment?

I've always felt like it works wonders on me. :)

It does add mass by retaining water weight in the muscles!

Remember, naturally occurring doesn't mean it is good for you. Cyanide is naturally occurring and is lethal if ingested or inhaled. As for college programs, they are out to win no matter the cost. There is so much junk science surrounding sports that good data is hard to find.

i wish you could talk to my team that buys this stuff by the truckload. i dont get some of these sups?!

Um, yeah, I was just wondering if there is supposed to be water retenion in the muscles, because I have no idea.

I'm no doctor. But my father is. But I think your body isn't suppose to retain water for long periods of time. But I could be wrong. If so I have no fear that the good doctor will correct me.
