hey everyone. i have a question about the pay bands. a controller friend of mine sent me an excel spreadsheet with the faa pay bands that walk you through the pay from developmental 1 through the top category... cpc/tmc/tms. i am going to a level 9 facility with a 17% locality so a CPC would make around 67000. On the next tier up it would go to around 95000. I am assuming that would be TMC status which I assume stands for a T? master controller. My question is...how long does it take to get from CPC to TMC? Or (in my case) from 67000-950000. Pay isn't really an issue for me and I am not doing this for the money, but as I have a young family I just want to be able to plan a little. Any light you can shed would be very helpful. thanks.

I would guess that the 67K is with locally pay,
TMC = Traffic Management Controller
TMS = Supervisor

to get to the 95K, you would need to become a Sup and be around for a while after getting yearly increases. Since it seems that 95K is the top of the pay band there.
