I flew for a while, but he demonstrated some manuvers to me and I wanted to try to get some cool pics for a.net and jp.net. We flew over to Laurel to meet the skydive people then flew back, did about an hour total.
 
Glad to see you had fun Alex. Did you get to fly any of the maneuvers?

Unfortunately, WX (wait, you said it was rather clear that day...) made us change plans.

I believe Brendan had plans to fly down this summer Alex, but too bad I wouldn't be able to go. I'm leaving June 5th to UND.

We were supposed to go see the airshow at Reading, but I'll be out of the area earlier than expected....sighs...

Anyway, thanks Alex.

I'll fly down there, eventually, in the near future.

Cool pics! how is it you were able to go for a ride? did you know the person or did you pay for the flight?!

Maybe doug will get me a ride in something like that (for my 35th birthday this year *hint hint*)! haha

You could always come down to Warbird Adventures in Kissimmee and fly the T-6. They probably have something similar out in AZ, too. I was thinking of doing that before I move. The closest they have in Memphis is a Stinson biplane. Not quite the same.

www.yakdemoteam.com have taken GED over and constantly have 10-20 Yaks in there on the weekends. They give me all the free flying I want, just ask that I clean the planes for them and help them out with the museum and maintence. If you're ever in the Philly area let me know and I'll get you up for a ride.

Yeah..me smart.. Since when? ;-) I've been a member of this forum for a while, but just started regularly reading/posting a few days ago. Not sure if I'll be in MD any time soon. Probably not until the fall, if anything. I'm going to be out in Japan with my parents this summer so that's quite a trip.
