My flight lesson started today with a little ground instruction before heading up for about an hour of flying in the Tomohawk. My instructor and I did the pre-flight, all was good. Got into the aiplane did the pre-flight there, all good, started the engine, idle, release the brake and moved about 2 feet before the nose fell down. The strut on the front gear gave out and couldnt support the front of the airplane leaving the prop about 5 inches from the pavement. So that being said I did not fly today. The logs said it had just been replaced days before. Eh I couldnt help but think if it would have held up and we would have been airborn, what would have happend when we landed at a higher speed. This has taught me that anything can happen at anytime and never bet that your airplane is 100% airworthy and always check your struts.
Just not the Traumahawk...LOL
