Corporate to Airlines?

Hey all, I have read posts by some people here stating that if one wants to be a corporate pilot then it is best to start that path from the beginning (get on with a charter, build some contacts and then get the corporate gig that is only from word of mouth!) They said that it is tough to switch from the airlines to the corporate world (I am assuming because of the lack of contacts etc.) ....my question is whether it is tough to switch from the corporate gigs to the airlines? Thanks!

Not really. Had a buddy of mine that flew traffic planes with me get hired by America West, after 4 years as an HS-125-700 pilot for an entrepeneur.

Back in the olden days where we were hiring, I noticed my airline was good about hiring from a wide variety of backgrounds.

You'll need 1000 PIC turbine and a recommendation from within the pilot group but beyond that, I don't think Corp or whatever makes a lot of difference

The only issue would be some corporate jobs don't really allow you to rack up the time that fast. Well........ the flight time. FBO lounge time is no prob.
