Job Description:
This position involves the investigation, preparation and dissemination of Flight Plans and routes in supprot of International Trip Planning Services.
Responsibilities:
Prepares and transmits flight plans and weather information for customer requirements. Research and converse with ATC authorities to identify preferred routing/altitude assignments. Confirm delivery of Flight Plan packages at required locations. Confirm flight plans on file with ATC authorities. Communicate with ground handlers and other agents to insure routes of flight and filings. Assist Internation Trip Planners in the preparations of test plans. Required knowledge: General knowledge of aviation and flight planning techniques. Highly skilled with the use of JetPlan and supporting services. Ability to recognize, research, interpret and solve problems relating to flight planning and flight plan filing. Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work 12 hour shifts 3 or 4 days per week, including holidays and weekends.
Experience Required:
Bachelors degree in Aeronautical operations or a related field. An instrument rated pilot or a certified dispatcher or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Jeppesen is an equal opportunity employer
