Copperstate Fly-In \'04

I'm thinking about flying into the Copperstate Regional Fly-in being held at Phoenix Regional Airport (A39) south of phoenix.

The "arrival procedures" seem simple enough but I can imagine it all could turn into a cluster• pretty quickly!

Anyone have any experience with the copperstate fly-in?

Advice?

Dangit, I'm working that day. I'm a huge warbird fan too

Re: Copperstate Fly-In \'04

A) I flew in the first year it was at Regional and yes it is a cluster•.

b) It's an EAA sho so there won't really be any warbirds. Lot's 'o kit planes but not too many with guns on 'em.

I'll probably be there one of the days but I'll probably drive my happy @ss down there.

[/ QUOTE ]I'm thinking I'll probably just do the same on sunday. The whole "fly-in" thing is kind of defeated when you only have to fly about 20nm.

I'll be there for at least a day trying to recruit a few students... unfortunately, I don't think I'll be flying in... as I really don't have any money. Flyin's are always a good time!

You know what's hilarious? I spent half of the afternoon coughing out bronchioles and even visiting the porcelain altar and it looks like I'll be calling in sick.

Irony. It's just not for breakfast anymore.
